Title: What Social Media Organization to use?
Question: What Social Media Organization should I use to connect with others that can help?
Answer: There are many Social Media Organizations and each has strengths and weaknesses. You’ll probably want to join an organization that has some form of “Groups”. Groups are a way to form a sub-organization that specializes in a particular subject matter. For Family History, you may be interested in a Group that specializes in a specific area of the world that you are researching, such as Ireland or Italy. Each Group has rules it expects you to abide by and most don’t want you to join simply to advertise merchandise. If you can prove that you have ancestors from a particular area the Group is interested in, they’ll probably let you join. By connecting with people in you areas of interest, you may be able to gain valuable insights to help in your research.
